The House of Uncommons is the title of a new solo exhibition I'm working towards this summer. The body of work is basically a fantasy government i'm creating out of the natural and spiritual world. Modeling it opposite the UK Parliamentary system (and thusly the US government structure), the House of Uncommons is the Queens Royal Opposition and has yet to be formally recognized. My duty as an artist is to depict each member of this secret society and explain each role. The exhibition will be entirely new paintings on canvas and wood as well as installation work. It opens August 1, 2013 at Hellion Gallery in Portland, Oregon.

Tragic Heroes Exhibition
I'm pleased to announce my curatorial debute with a new exhibition titled "Tragic Heroes". The exhibition will showcase illustrative work by emerging artists whose work encapsulates the idea of the tragic hero. Both in subject matter and style, this show will explore how the concept of the tragic hero is depicted off stage and in art today. From the suicidal to the self depricating, the hero of this show is the tragically ugly, the miscalculated and ultimately, the loser with the best intentions.
